This post is partly funded by a generous grant from The Japan Foundation. www.jpf.org.uk and is available from the start of the 2009/10 academic year.
You will be expected to teach the third year undergraduate course “Economic Development of Japan since 1868” as well as contribute lectures to the MSc course “Economics of the Asia Pacific Region”. Ability to teach other core undergraduate subjects such as microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics will also be welcome.
The successful candidate will show a proven research capability appropriate to a highly-rated Department of Economics, as well as enthusiasm for teaching and an interest in the mission of SOAS and the Department of Economics
