The Economics Group of ENTRIX consists of a diverse group of economists that specialize in environmental and natural resource economics. Our economists routinely apply economic principles to complex projects related to water resources, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, energy, and environmental quality. The Economics Group supports projects by providing a wide-range of services and skills including economic impact analysis, benefit-cost analysis, cost-of-service and rate setting, resource valuation, market analysis, and financial feasibility. Economists are located in Sacramento, California, Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Direct and participate in economic research and analysis in providing technical support to a wide range of projects 2. Manage small- and large-scale tasks, projects and marketing efforts 3. Develop and actively market to acquire additional work for the company, and maintain client relationships on existing projects 4. Provide guidance to other economists related to research methods and analytical techniques 5. Participate in and coordinate preparation of studies and reports 6. Assist in fostering a strong team environment and developing high-quality products Basic Qualifications: 1. Ph.D. degree in Resource or Agricultural Economics with two years of relevant professional experience, including college research and work experience.Candidates with an M.S. degree in Resource or Agricultural Economics will also be considered with sufficient research and work experience. 2. Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, including working knowledge of economic theory, mathematics and statistics, and quantitative methods to measure economic benefits and costs 3. Demonstrated project management experience 4. Excellent oral and written communication skills 5. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship Desired Qualifications: 1. Strong business and client orientation 2. Excellent interpersonal skills, as the candidate will work closely with clients and other employees on a variety of projects 3. Solid time-management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines 4. Ability to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment 5. Litigation and expert witness experience 6. Proven track record of business development 7. Coursework in business, finance, econometrics, linear programming, planning, environmental science, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) 8. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word & Excel, and demonstrated ability to work with statistical software |
