This position serves as an Economist for the National Marine Fisheries Service, Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center, Socioeconomics & Planning Group, located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Economist position coordinates, conducts, and reports results of economic research and analyses at scientific conferences and to resource managers. The position also provides economic analysis for Western Pacific Fishery Management Plan scientific teams in support of fisheries management in U.S. Pacific Islands areas.
