Description
The Economics Group of ENTRIX consists of a diverse group of economists that specialize in environmental and natural resource economics. Our economists routinely apply economic principles to complex projects related to water resources, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, energy, and environmental quality. The Economics Group supports projects by providing a wide-range of services and skills including economic impact analysis, benefit-cost analysis, cost-of-service and rate setting, resource valuation, market analysis, and financial feasibility. Economists are located in Portland, Oregon; Vancouver, Washington; Seattle, Washington; Missoula, Montana; and Sacramento, California. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Participate in economic research and analysis in providing technical support to a wide range of projects 2. Support project managers by searching for required information and data using personal contacts, electronic sources, and published books and reports 3. Participate in preparation of reports and other deliverables 4. Adhere to prescribed time and budgetary parameters Requirements 1. Bachelors Degree or higher in Economics, Resource Economics or Agriculture Economics with at least one year of relevant professional experience 2. Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, including working knowledge of economic theory, mathematics and statistics, and quantitative methods to measure economic benefits and costs 3. Excellent oral and written communication skills 4. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship Desired Qualifications: 1. Excellent interpersonal skills, as the candidate will work closely with clients and other employees on a variety of projects 2. Solid time-management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines 3. Ability to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment 4. Coursework in business, finance, econometrics, linear programming, planning, environmental science, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) 5. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word & Excel, and demonstrated ability to work with statistical software 6. Database management skills, including demonstrated experience with Microsoft Access 7. Strong business and client orientation |
