By working with our widely respected economists, you will gain exposure to the analysis of macroeconomic trends and policy developments, with an emphasis on the US economy, but also with exposure to the global economy. The job will entail assisting with various data-oriented requests from sales, traders, and clients, as well as contributing to the production of research publications and PowerPoint presentations. The Fixed Income Summer program provides summer analysts with the foundation necessary for a successful summer experience. They begin with an intense one-week training period in New York where all summer analysts participate in a capital markets overview. You will be trained on Bloomberg and learn Credit Suisse technology systems and databases. Your learning experience will continue through the summer speaker series, where you will hear from senior employees across the divisions. In addition, you will participate in community service, networking events and firm-wide events that will help ensure that you are exposed to all the areas within the bank and understand the big picture of a global investment bank. To help you determine your strengths and plan your career, summer analysts are matched with junior and senior mentors within your program’s division, who provide advice and guidance throughout the summer. You will also enjoy networking with the other Summer Analysts and full time employees at a variety of social events throughout the summer. Qualifications To apply for this internship, you must be a rising senior (graduating in December 2010 or May/June 2011) and a bachelor degree candidate from a four-year college or university. Strong quantitative and written communication skills are required, preferably with extensive experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
