Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP (NYSE: BWP) is a Master Limited Partnership (MLP) engaged, through its three subsidiaries, Gulf Crossing Pipeline Company LLC, Gulf South Pipeline Company, LP, and Texas Gas Transmission, LLC in the interstate transportation and storage of natural gas. Boardwalk directly serves customers in 11 states and has approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and 11 underground storage fields with aggregate certificated working gas capacity of approximately 160 billion cubic feet.
We are looking for an Economist to be based at our corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas. -Responsibilities will include using statistics, mathematical analysis and economic theory to conduct studies of the natural gas industry. Information provided from studies will help senior management and the commercial team make decisions about marketing and pricing of natural gas pipeline capacity and storage. -Specific responsibilities will include devising, implementing and monitoring methods and procedures for collecting data, utilizing knowledge of available sources of data and various statistical and econometric models. Prepare point-of-view reports highlighting hypothesis, findings and provide recommendations related to storage, park-and-loans, transporation, basis and fixed price. Requirements for the position include: -Masters in Economics -Bachelors in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science -Quantitative skills: including working knowledge of statistical and financial modeling applications (econometric models, regression analysis, calculus, monte carlo simulations), microsoft excel, visual basic (or equivalent), crystal ball/what's best -Knowledge of the natural gas and power industries *Knowledge of the natural gas pipeline business preferred* We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
