The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg has an opening for 1 Professor in Econometrics (M/F)

Any field of econometrics will be considered. Experience in panel data analysis is most welcome.

Mission

The successful candidate is expected to develop his own research activities and to contribute to the supervision of research projects within the CREA. He should also be prepared to teach and supervise students at all study levels (undergraduate, graduate, doctoral).

Profile

·     A PhD in statistics/econometrics

·     A significant record of publications in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals ;

·     Experience and aptitude for teaching and supervision of research at university level;

·     The capacity and interest to engage in academic research at the highest level.

·     The capability to work in a multilingual environment in which good knowledge of both spoken and written French and English are essential and fluency in other languages are an additional advantage.

·     A copy of the diploma of doctorate;

·     A detailed curriculum vitae with a list of publications of the candidate;

·     A text of up to 6000 characters (3 pages) describing the scientific activities which the applicant wishes to carry out;

·     A copy of the doctoral thesis;

·     A copy of the three publications that the candidate considers as most representative of his or her research activity.

·     A list of three references with their name, address and present position. Please indicate their relationship to you.

Mission

Les responsabilités comportent la recherche, le tutorat d’étudiants des niveaux Bachelor, Master et doctorat, la préparation et la direction de projets de recherche au sein du CREA, ainsi que l’enseignement aux différents niveaux (bachelor, master, doctorat).

Profil

·     Un doctorat en statistique/économétrie

·     Des publications dans des revues internationales connues

·     Une bonne aptitude et de l’expérience dans l’enseignement et dans la direction de la recherche au niveau universitaire

·     La capacité d’entreprendre des activités de recherche de haut niveau

·     La capacité de travailler dans un environnement multilingue : la connaissance approfondie des langues française et anglaise est essentielle, la pratique de l’allemand sera considérée comme un avantage.
