Hub Economist

The International Growth Centre (IGC) directs a global network of world-class researchers and policy experts in economics, political economy and related disciplines, and works closely with developingcountry governments to provide high-quality research, technical assistance and advice. We areseeking to appoint a Hub Economist. Based in London you will provide support to the Country Leadership Teams and connect researchers and policy specialists with the in-country research andpolicy projects, working closely with the Country Directors, Lead Academics and in-country economistsfor each country of engagement.

Good written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent programme management skills areessential, as is the ability to work under pressure, both as part of a team and as an individual. An undergraduate or advanced degree in Economics or a related discipline is essential. Experience ofcoordinating research or policy projects would be an important advantage.
