Overview:




The Agricultural Division of The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, Inc., Ardmore, Oklahoma, is seeking an Agricultural Consultant III to complement a team of consultants representing several agricultural disciplines. This team provides free technical assistance to farmers, ranchers and other natural resource managers in the southern Great Plains.



Agricultural Consultant III Job Description




Responsibilities:




The primary duties of the Agricultural Consultant will include working within a multi-disciplinary team environment to assist agricultural producers and other land stewards achieve their financial, production and quality of life goals (information about the consulting program is available on the Ag Division website at www.noble.org).



In addition to consulting, duties will include participating in educational programs, outreach activities, demonstrations and a limited amount of research. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with other Noble Foundation divisions and departments, universities and various agricultural agencies.




Qualifications:




Agricultural Consultant with expertise in Ag Economics, Animal Science (beef cattle), and/or Range Management



A minimum of a Masters-level degree (i.e. M.S. or M. Ag. or M.B.A.) is required in one of these areas of study: Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Accounting, Finance, Range Science, Animal Science, Agronomy, Forage Science or other highly related degree. Emphasis in applied agricultural production and management in the United States is strongly preferred.



A minimum of 10 years directly related professional experience is strongly preferred.



Knowledge of regional agricultural practices and a demonstrated ability to communicate are required. A farm or ranch background is also preferred.
