Overview of the role:

We are seeking a talented, focused and highly motivated analyst to join the QEP Investment Team in London. The role will focus on the delivery of high quality research insights with assignments likely to cover a broad range of equity-based topics. There is the potential for the right individual to assume both portfolio management and/or client-facing responsibilities.

The team:

The QEP Investment Team is a strategically important business for Schroders and currently manages more than $40 billion across a range of global and EM equity strategies (both long-only and long short). The team comprises 28 people (19 in London, 6 in Sydney, and 3 in New York).

Key attributes and skills:

• Intellectually curious and thoughtful
• Expert skills in data manipulation and analysis
• Possesses a genuine understanding of company fundamentals
• Credible, confident and clear in explaining concepts to colleagues and clients
• Experienced user of MatLab, SQL or other statistical language

Desirable background:

Applicants should have experience of developing high quality research within a quantitative equity framework, preferably at a top tier asset manager, hedge fund or broker.
A good degree in a numeric field, preferably Statistics, Economics, Operational Research, or a Finance-related course
