Compass Lexecon is seeking Analyst candidates for the competition practice in the Pasadena, CA office. As part of our team-oriented approach, Analysts work closely with staff economists to provide in-depth economic analysis of the relevant issues in each matter. While each project presents a different set of challenges, Analysts can generally expect to support the senior staff by performing extensive data analyses, computer programming, maintaining databases, preparing charts and tables, conducting industry research, and reviewing background materials.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's or master's degree in economics or a related field, with a strong quantitative background; or a bachelor's or master's degree in Math or Statistics with substantial intermediate coursework in Economics or Finance. Candidates should also have proven teamwork skills, exemplary organizational skills, and superior written and verbal communication skills. Substantial experience with statistical programming languages a plus, but not required. Previous work experience as an analyst or research assistant in this or a related field also a plus, but not necessary.
