Organization Overview
The Environment and Resources Division helps federal and state environmental and resource management agencies address complex policy, management, and regulatory challenges. Our services include economic analysis, cost-benefit analysis, risk assessments, environmental modeling, regulatory and voluntary program support, and IT solutions. Our clients include the Environmental Protection Agency, Army Corps of Engineers, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Department of Energy.

Job Summary
Working closely within a multi-disciplinary project team of economists, engineers, and environmental scientists, the Analyst will perform economic and other analyses on issues of environmental and health and safety regulation and policy, particularly as pertains to EPA and OSHA programs and regulations.

The preferred candidate has a Master's Degree in economics, resource/environmental economics, or a related discipline with an outstanding academic record; has excellent writing abilities; strong data mining, quantitative, and computer skills; and has demonstrated knowledge of environmental and worker health and safety laws and regulations. Knowledge of EPA's and OSHA's information resources is desirable.

Key Responsibilities
The candidate will perform economic and other quantitative analyses, for example to assess the impacts of policies on affected businesses, industries, employment, and the economy. The candidate will assist in the development of models, and analytic frameworks and the preparation of documents, options papers, and other reports of work performed. The candidate will also participate in development of proposals for new work.

Skills/Knowledge Required
Excellent oral communication, writing, and analytical skills.
Proficiency and creativity using spreadsheet software (Excel), data analysis software (R, SAS), and database software (Access).

Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS (3 - 5) OR MA/MBA (Entry Level) years of experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
