An exciting opportunity exists to join The Petroleum Institute's Department of Humanities and Social Sciences to teach economics and related courses to undergraduate engineering majors.

Detailed Description

The successful candidate will join a diverse department to design and deliver introductory and more advanced level courses in economics and related fields to undergraduates. The area of specialization is open with an emphasis upon the ability to teach a variety of different subjects from economics and related disciplines. The Petroleum Institute prioritizes and nurtures faculty members' professional development in both teaching and research. Substantial and ongoing funding is available for both individual and collaborative research projects with cross-disciplinary research particularly encouraged, and faculty members regularly travelling abroad to present the findings of their research. Opportunities also exist in student advising and committee responsibilities with faculty members encouraged to play an active role in the institute's administration and governance.
