The role:

To provide statistical analysis, charts, tables and reports on economic and financial data relevant to current financial market conditions.

This position is based in our offices at 125 London Wall, London, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare charts and data from Datastream/Macrobond/CEIC/Bloomberg or other external economic and financial markets databases for internal or external use by Invesco.
Maintain /updating existing databases and charts in Excel/PowerPoint.
Publish reports of Chief Economist (or others) to Invesco or other websites/portals.
Maintain liaison with Chief Economist when he is travelling.
Answer emails on behalf of Chief Economist to Invesco portfolio managers, staff, clients or others requesting economic or financial data.
Research statistical data and theories underlying key topics in financial markets.
Ensure all activities are in line with TCF outcomes

Qualifications

Work Experience / Knowledge:
Some experience of working in a financial firm and using economic/financial data is desirable.
Proven competence with Datastream/Macrobond/CEIC/Bloomberg or other external economic and financial markets database
Good Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
Accuracy.
Ability to organise/maintain large quantities of data.
Articulate – able to describe complex data issues for PMs/clients.
Confident to meet regular deadlines.

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
University degree (or higher) with major in Economics or Statistics.
