The Faculty of Law, Economics, and Finance (FDEF) of the University of Luxembourg has an opening for an Assistant Professor (M/F) in Finance with a focus on innovation, or related fields in particular empirical finance.

• Fixed-term contract 60 months
• Full-time position (40 h/week)
• Earliest starting date: 1 September 2020

The position at the Assistant Professor level follows University of Luxembourg's tenure-track career scheme and a possibility of promotion will be given after 5 years upon positive evaluation.

Your Role
The Professor shall play an active role in establishing the LSF (Luxembourg School of Finance) as a leading European finance group; the package we offer is commensurate with this ambition. In particular, shall be engaged in research, teaching, and administrative duties. The candidates shall teach in the newly created common first year of the master programs. In addition, the candidate shall teach in the risk management track of the Master of Banking and Finance.

Your Profile
The candidate shall show potential for highest quality research and publications in the top finance and/or economics journals. Additional requirements include a PhD in Finance or Economics or related disciplines.

The University of Luxembourg is set in a multilingual context. The person hired on this position must be proficient in English and in one of the two official languages of Luxembourg: French or German.
