The Johnson State College Department of Business and Economics seeks an assistant professor of economics, starting August 2016, with expertise and experience in Sport Management, an area of growing student interest. S/he will teach courses in Economics, Sport Management, and in other areas of departmental focus; conduct scholarly research, preferably with students; and participate in the college-wide commitment to early and ongoing student success, through teaching, advising, curricular development and service.

The successful candidate for this position must demonstrate teaching excellence and must possess at least a master's degree in Economics, preferably with a research emphasis on the economics of sport. Ph.D. in Economics at the time of appointment is preferred.
