Position Summary
The School of Business at the State University of New York (SUNY) Geneseo invites applications for a full time, tenure-track assistant professor in economics/data analytics, to begin August 2019. Duties of the position include:

• Teach undergraduate courses in Data Analytics with the use of industry-standard tools of analysis (including R and Python) and the application of data analytics to various business areas to all majors within the School of Business.
• Teach undergraduate courses in Environmental and/or Resource Economics with a focus on sustainability issues as well as Introductory and Intermediate Microeconomics or Macroeconomics based on the needs of the program.
• Academic advising and mentoring of students.
• Conduct and publish scholarly research.
• Service to college, community, and discipline.

Required Qualifications
• An earned doctoral degree in Economics with specializations in Data Analytics (Econometrics) and Environmental Economics by the time of appointment.
• Demonstrated ability to teach effectively undergraduate courses in Economics and Data Analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex material in a clear and organized manner.
• Potential to establish an on-going program of scholarly research and publication in the area of Economics and Data Analytics.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive working/teaching environment.
