The Department of Economics at the American University of Beirut invites applications for two assistant professor level positions effective August 15, 2017. We are seeking a candidate with a background in macroeconomics for one of the positions. Primary considerations will be an outstanding research record, excellent recommendations, and a demonstrated ability in teaching.

The appointments are for an initial period of four years with opportunities for renewal and advancement. The usual teaching load is not more than 5 courses a year. The language of instruction is English. Duties include teaching, research, service and advising students. Applicants must have completed their PhD by August 2017.
