Description: Visa Business and Economic Insights (VBEI) delivers actionable intelligence into the evolving global economy for Visa and Visa's clients. The group harnesses its expertise, multiple data sources and deep client relationships to provide cutting-edge insights into consumer spending and the payments industry to better inform business planning and management decisions. VBEI's mandate and business scope are growing and we are looking for talented individuals to help us to build our team.

Position Scope: The Program Manager will be responsible for executing and managing global econometric forecasts of commercial payment trends and performance. The role will also include assisting the VBEI team in research and writing, special projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Mine existing Visa data and create/develop business methods to forecast/track/communicate performance and industry change drivers.
• Develop and maintain PC-based econometric models and market segment databases to forecast commercial payment trends and performance.
• Manage efforts to analyze and interpret market data and economic conditions impacting the business-to-business payments industry through econometric, financial and statistical analysis/forecasting applications.
• Assist the team in researching and analyzing trends in the global tourism and travel industry
• Draft final reports and prepare and give formal and informal presentations for staff, senior management, and clients to ultimately influence business decisions.

Qualifications

• Prefer advanced graduate degree in economics; however, relevant experience in lieu of advanced degree will be considered.
• Prefer three to five years of economic and/or financial analysis experience, preferably with knowledge of the global economics and/or the travel and tourism industry. Understanding of advanced econometric modeling concepts (knowledge of Eviews a plus).
• Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills.
• Position requires a high degree of creativity and innovation.
• Mastery of PC spreadsheets and other software packages.
• Able to work independently, with minimum supervision, yet be a team player.
