We provide companies with the guidance that they need to help run their businesses, establish robust internal controls, use information effectively and improve performance. These services include compliance, consulting services, information technology solutions, forensic accounting and investigative services, recovery and reorganization, tax preparation, and valuation, to name a few.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities include research, statistical analysis and written analysis of micro and macro economic trends to support the economic intelligence and senior economist output for the Grant Thornton Economics Group. The Associate Economist will have an opportunity to write their own byline for the Economic Blog regarding key economic indicators and emerging trends in the economy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Econometrics, Public Policy or related degree
Certified Business Economist designation preferred or training to be completed on the job
Major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 or top 10% of your class
Skill Requirements
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills
Strong computer skills including advance skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work additional hours and/or travel as needed.
