Want to help thousands more college students earn their diplomas each year? Work with Persistence Plus to build a life-changing student support platform, and you'll be able to do just that.

Persistence Plus is a mission-driven early-stage education technology company focused on improving college persistence and completion. We are using mobile technology, behavioral research, and data analytics to help colleges support and graduate more students. We are addressing a tremendous societal issue - only 55% percent of all students who begin a four-year college full-time actually earn a diploma within six years - and an $8.4 B problem for colleges.

Persistence Plus has been recognized by the Kauffman Foundation, Milken Family Foundation, and the American Public University System for its innovative approach and potential to make a difference at scale. We are currently working with a cohort of college customers. Data shows that students respond to and value our mobile nudges, and those students receiving Persistence Plus nudges perform better academically and persist at greater rates than students who do not.

We are looking for a behavioral researcher to join our lean and talented team in Boston. Specifically, we are looking for someone:

• With a background in behavioral economics or psychology and holds a MA or PhD in a relevant field
• Who has experience developing and field-testing interventions
• Who has strong written and oral communication skills
• Who is analytical and can crunch data (using Excel, SPSS, Stata, and/or R)
• With a commitment to increasing educational opportunities and outcomes for all
• With comfort with and enthusiasm for working in an entrepreneurial environment

Your work will vary – you will be developing and enhancing interventions, collaborating with outside researchers and managing external research projects, analyzing data on our impact, and interacting with college partners - but the goal of growing a mission-driven company that is committed to helping more students succeed will never change. This position is a great fit for someone who wants to apply academic research at scale. The ideal candidate will be used to rolling up his/her sleeves to take a project from an idea to completion, passionate about using behavioral research to drive positive social change, and filled with ideas to develop and test.

If this sounds like you and you have the above skill set, we want to hear from you!

Compensation is commensurate with company stage. Please send a resume and cover letter by clicking Apply below.
