The Nottingham School of Economics invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above Chair position, available from 1 February 2015, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Candidates are expected to have an outstanding international reputation and widely recognised eminence in their field. The School has existing strengths in the areas of econometrics, macroeconomics and international trade and the person appointed will be expected to deepen and complement these strengths.

The fields of macroeconomic and international economics are broadly defined to cover theoretical or applied work and could incorporate monetary and international trade and finance specialisms.

The person appointed will be expected to contribute to the leadership of the School's teaching and research activities and to support the School's generation of research grant income.

Salary will be within the Professorial range, minimum £58,171 per annum.
