Join a team that contributes to government policy through performance analysis and reporting. Evaluation roles in the Ministry of Economic Development give insight into a wide range of issues facing New Zealand’s economic development and the role of government in addressing them.

The Ministry’s evaluation team has a track record of robust and influential work. The team leads evaluation dialogue across the Ministry and with Crown agents. Their work draws on a range of qualitative and quantitative methods, including econometrics. It informs key policy development and decision making.

A full time Chief Advisor/Senior Evaluator role and a six month fixed-term role have become available.

Successful candidates will have:

• Strong analytical and research skills and an understanding of research methods
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• At least five years of relevant work experience and post-graduate qualifications in economics.
