Treasury Board Staff (TBS) provides strategic direction to Treasury Board, a committee of Cabinet, and works with ministries, Crown corporations and agencies, and organizations in the Schools, Universities, Colleges and Health Authority (SUCH) sector to prepare the province's multi-year economic and fiscal plan.

As Chief Economist, you are the lead government authority on economic forecasting and the evaluation of major provincial economic policy options. This position is Chief Economic Advisor to the Minister of Finance, the Deputy Minister of Finance and the Deputy Secretary to Treasury Board. An exceptional communicator with a collaborative approach, the Chief Economist maintains productive working relationships with numerous ministries, agencies and other government; and provides comprehensible briefings and communications on fiscal and economic plans to internal and external stakeholders and news media. Visionary and results oriented, you promote an environment of professional excellence, leading a skilled team of motivated economists capable of delivering effective solutions to time sensitive demands. An exemplary leader skilled at analyzing complex economic data, you have the professional integrity and process management experience required to help develop and deliver strong fiscal and economic plans for British Columbia.
