Job Summary

Apple is looking for a dynamic, influential financial analyst to support the continued expansion of our world-wide data center infrastructure.

Key Qualifications

5 - 7 years financial analysis experience, preferably in internet services/networking/data center capacity and with a fortune 500 company.
Excel expert. Familiarity with Keynote and Pages a plus.
Clear and effective communicator with the ability to succinctly articulate the business across the entire spectrum of relevant data; from summary to fine detail.
A proactive problem solver skilled at taking a complex situation, distilling it down to actionable detail, and presenting a problem with recommendation simultaneously.
Proven team player who is comfortable working in a flat organization with all levels of management.
A self starter who is not intimidated by navigating in an ambiguous environment with incomplete data.
A demonstrated ability to achieve results and drive tasks/projects to close with minimal supervision.
Tenacious and intellectually curious - doesn't settle on easy or convenient answers, and drives issues to root cause effectively.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other analytical discipline. MBA/CMA a plus, but not required.
Familiarity with SAP, BW, Business Objects, BPC a plus.

This role will have strong horizontal and vertical visibility, an opportunity to have influence as our global growth scales at an unprecedented rate, and help support the gold-standard analytics and insight our team brings to the business.

As the cycle of innovation continues to drive Apple's end-customer products, so too must deep innovation drive how we support them. This role will be a front row seat for some of the most exciting and challenging work yet to be done in this space.

Core responsibilities:

Oversee financial activities related to Apple's data centers.
Partner with the business in the preparation of monthly and quarterly capital, operating expense and headcount forecasts and become a subject matter expert on the financial impact of data center operations.
Development and preparation of monthly and quarterly data center reporting and presentations for senior management. Work with data center team to identify meaningful operational and financial KPI and implement a repeatable and scalable score-carding process.
Assist business teams by developing tools, processes and procedures to facilitate and monitor financial initiatives; seek areas of improvement while ensuring adherence to internal controls.
Participate in quarterly close process including but not limited to accrual, allocation and variance analysis.
Liaise with EMEIA and APAC finance teams to help ensure consistent adoption of best practices and uniform application of forecasting and reporting standards.
