Director of Economics and Data

- Working four days a week from home/co-working space
- Complete flexibility on location within the UK

Responsibilities

- Leading our economics/data work and 'division' of our business and delivery in that area for clients.
- Developing a growth strategy for economics/data.
- Nurturing and developing relevant colleagues' skills/careers.
- Sinning work.
- Supporting wider work winning and pitches/proposals.
- Ensuring quality, impact and client satisfaction of any work you undertake.
- Creating and delivering strategies to help clients achieve their objectives.
- Relationship building with key influencers/potential clients/current clients.
- Managing projects (budgets, clients and delivery).
- Primary focus is economics/data, but because we are a small start-up be prepared to be somewhat flexible and work across a variety of other areas to support colleagues.

Ideal person

Sense of humour.
Has a personality.
2:1 (or above) degree in economics
Wants to help a start-up grow, develop and win new work.
'Can do' mindset.
Excellent writer/communicator.
Has interesting perspectives and ideas.
7+ years experience in an economics consultancy, the civil service, think tank or similar.
Must be familiar with and have good experience of using the HMT Green Book and relevant appraisal guides.

Benefits

Salary: £53,000-60,000 depending on experience for 4 days (i.e. FTE salary of £66,000-75,000).
5% company contribution to your pension.

We are a small but fast-growing startup looking to expand our team. We are looking for a Director of Economics and Data to help support our current projects and clients and help us win new work.

Bradshaw Advisory is a cross between a think tank, economics/data consultancy and a public affairs agency which means we work on a huge variety of projects from Levelling Up Fund and Freeport applications to running the Global Britain Commission and delivering high-impact campaigns for private clients often centred around research reports and new analysis/modelling.

We are looking for quirky people with interesting perspectives and ideas.

A sense of humour is essential. We are not a big soulless corporate - we like personality.
