Economic analyst position supports the Chief Economist in preparing analysis and commentary of the US and global economy. Varied work will include collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to compile daily and weekly reports reflecting market and economic events, monetary policy and interest rates. Position requires a great attention to detail, as well as self- motivation and the ability to multi-task. Position will require daily interaction with clients, salespeople, traders, and other research analysts and strategists.

MAJOR DUTIES
Provides analytics and economic commentary to institutional fixed income clients.
Assists Chief Economist in providing daily analysis and guidance of the changing economic landscape including fiscal and monetary policy, as well as interest rates.
Writes economic research reports; creates/maintains economic models.
Leads defined work or projects of moderate scope and complexity.
Performs some administrative duties as assigned.
Required Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field.
1-3 years related work experience
Series 7, 62 preferred (not required).
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with Bloomberg preferred (not required).
Ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and tasks in order to meet deadlines and accomplish goals.
Effective communication skills and able to relay information well in both written and verbal form.
Solid and reliable mathematical skills.
Solid analytical skills.
Good interpersonal interaction and able to work well with others.
