KPMG is currently seeking a Economic Analyst, to join our Chief Economist Organization.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research on various sources of economic indicators and perform specialized, custom and complex data analysis to support Chief Economist
Maintain and update quantitative and qualitative economic, financial, or statistical databases
Process, consolidate, and transform data sets within and between databases using statistical or econometric techniques
Analyze economic time series data and perform basic statistical and econometric analyses of research results
Create executive summaries of findings in a manner that is relevant and accessible to non-economists
Ability to conduct diagnostic analysis in Excel such as Granger Causality Testing, creating indexes, regression analysis, correlations, and statistical analysis
Qualifications:
Minimum two years of economic research and/or analysis experience; preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment
BachelorÂ’s degree in Economics, Mathematics and/or Statistics from an accredited college/university; MasterÂ’s degree in Economics preferred
Ability to build relationships, collaborate, meet deadlines, motivate and influence individuals within a matrix organization and succeed in a fast paced environment
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Power Point; experience with Bloomberg, E-Views, or Haver Analytics is preferred
Strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills
