The Arab Planning Institute in Kuwait (www.arab-api.org) is seeking to recruit qualified economists. API-Kuwait is a non-profit regional organization whose primary mission is to advance the cause of economic and social development in the Arab countries through national capacity building, research, institutional support & consultancy, expert-group meetings and publication.

The position requires:

- Applicants must hold a PhD in economics.
- Good command of quantitative tools and good research track.
- Having strong interdisciplinary aptitudes and being able to work in teams.
- Having a good command of Arabic and English.

Preference will be given to candidates with confirmed experience in consultancy, research and capacity building in topics related to strategic planning, public finance, monetary economics, international economics, poverty issues and SMEs, mainly in Arab countries. Work experience in regional or international institutions is highly appreciated.

The rank of appointment will be determined by the candidate's qualifications and work experience.
