Ford Motor Company's Corporate Economics and Strategic Issues Office is announcing an opening for an Economic Research Analyst.

Responsibilities:

This position will support the work of the Office with a range of responsibilities, including
data collection and analysis
maintenance of internal and external data sources
preparation of charts, tables and PowerPoint presentations
research assistance on both short- and long-term analytical projects, including econometric and technical computing support.

The Office conducts forecasts of economic conditions and automotive industry analysis for a variety of emerging and developed markets around the world. The research assistant has primary responsibility for maintenance of an external data link to provide timely data supporting these studies. The position also involves extensive use of PC spreadsheet and presentation graphics applications for data manipulation and chart production.

The broad geographical and functional responsibilities of the Corporate Economics Office will provide the qualified candidate with an introduction to Ford's global operations, and the role of applied economics in an international business environment. Attention will be paid to providing experience that will be valuable in a variety of future career paths.

This position is paid at an hourly rate to be negotiated based on the selected candidate's skills and experience. A full-time commitment (35-40 hours per week) is desired. This position is not eligible for Company benefits.

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree is required, or degree to be completed by May 2018, with a minimum GPA of 3.25 in the areas of Economics, Business or Statistics

Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience working with economic data in a professional or academic setting is also preferred
Due to typically short turnaround times for the Office's routine analysis, strong computing experience with a range of software applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is strongly preferred
