The Economics Writer proposes and writes analytically challenging articles for the Richmond Fed's quarterly economics magazine, Econ Focus; a monthly essay series, Economic Brief; and other publications. We're looking for someone with a firm grasp of economic theory and current public policy issues, an ability to understand and interpret economic research, and excellent writing skills. The position often involves translating complex ideas in a nontechnical manner for a lay audience with limited knowledge of economics. Salary and benefits are competitive. The position is located in the Bank's riverfront headquarters building in Richmond, Va.
