Job Summary

The selected candidate will join AECOM's Design + Planning + Economics practice. The candidate must be well organized, creative, have strong research and writing skills, and enjoy working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment. The candidate should have an interest in real estate, land use, urban design, city planning, and policy projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Compiles data and conducts research in support of economic projects.
Works on 2 to 5 projects at a time under the supervision of a project manager or principal.
Travel is initially limited and primarily local in nature.
Increases with responsibility and tenure.
Writes sections of reports.
Prepares materials and graphics in support of economic projects.
Helps implement economic strategies for clients.
Produces client material for public meetings and hearings.
Assists project manager on a variety of size projects, including ensuring deadlines are met, client support, staff coordination and management, and delivery of the final product.
Provides additional support to ensure smooth execution of projects.

Representative Projects:
Market study for various land uses (hotel, residential, office, retail, etc.)
Pro forma and feasibility analysis
Fiscal and economic impact analysis
Economic development study
Attendance analysis

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Economics
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong research and writing skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to perform field site visits and support other AECOM staff with field data collection or analysis.
Demonstrated ability to work in climate of information uncertainty with limited data.
Self-motivated and committed to consulting work, and the time/effort it requires.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
Strong quantitative skills; experience with financial modeling and/or economic projections.

Preferred Qualifications

Prepares materials and graphics in support of economic projects.
Helps implement economic strategies for clients.
