Position Responsibilities:
Key contributor for corporate analysis and planning, determining implications for DuPont based upon macro-economics. Provides economic input on planning assumptions, performance analysis, and overall corporate intelligence.
Determine consensus view, across DuPont, on economic related topics. Aggregate BU analysis and forecasting to interpret and apply at a corporate level. Leverage communication skills and enterprise viewpoint to "craft the story" for use by corporate functions, including investor relations.
Economics coach and counselor to businesses and functions. Establish and maintain processes to educate businesses and functions on methods for economic leading indicator forecasting. Determines best practices for data collection, analysis, interpretation, and application. Identifies preferred external sources for economic forecasts. Create a community of practitioners and develop methods for community collaboration and discussion.
DuPont economics speaker to high-impact, targeted customer groups.
Ensures that DuPont remains up to date on and adept at economic methods and resources. Engages in professional growth activities. Utilizes both internal and external resources to maintain strong awareness of commercial and strategic issues, emerging trends, and analytical research design and execution, and evaluation methods.

Job Qualifications
Masters or Ph.D. in economics, 5-10 years in the Profession. Must have an in-depth understanding of macroeconomics analysis and interpretation in an industrial setting. Must be able to work with global teams and all levels of an organization. Experienced working in large, matrix organization in which influence management was a key component of their job. Requires strong analytical abilities. In addition to excellent communication skills, both oral and written, strong interpersonal relationship building and influence management skills. Must have the ability to explain economics to non-economists. Must be able to educate people, at all levels, on tools and methods. Experience with econometrics software, data analysis, and charting a plus. Needs expertise and professional skills in economics, market structure and competitors. Influence management and ability to manage global, cross-functional initiatives key. Important to have technical knowledge on tools for sharing and aggregating information.
