EY’s Quantitative Economics and Statistics practice (QUEST) invites recent graduates and experienced economists to join our team. QUEST is a group of economists, statisticians, and other professionals that assists EY clients with a variety of sophisticated quantitative analyses. Our team provides clients in the United States and around the world, as well as across a wide range of industries, with policy-focused economic analysis and other quantitative analytics. QUEST also functions as one of EY’s internal “think tanks,” providing analyses of important issues to inform our clients’ thinking on policy issues and business strategies.

The QUEST practice is known for its high standards of intellectual rigor and its involvement in high profile policy and business issues. QUEST uses sophisticated analyses to answer questions important to both policymakers and business leaders. Economists lead projects, supervise staff, and brief clients.

Responsibilities:
Areas of responsibility for Economists vary and include:
• Leading projects and supervising analyses performed by staff;
• Providing quantitative analyses of economic, tax, trade, and regulatory policy issues;
• Working in teams to model the economic impact of industries, companies, and new facilities;
• Communicating findings to clients in ways that are both rigorous and easily understood;
• Developing thought leadership in a chosen area of specialty;
• Teaming with EY professionals in other parts of the firm on data analysis, visualization, and statistical modeling;

Requirements:
Successful candidates will have a master’s degree or higher in economics, business, public policy, and/or other quantitative disciplines. Other qualifications include:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including a demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics to non-expert audiences;
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and research skills;
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team; prioritize and manage multiple tasks; and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment;
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on a high level of responsibility for client work and group development initiatives; and
• Ideal candidates will be able to program in some or all of the following languages STATA, SAS, R, Matlab, Tableau, and Excel.
