We Offer

We offer a position as a junior economist working on our NY-based US economics team. The team provides analysis and commentary on the US economy for Credit Suisse clients and partners. In this role, you will be asked to:

Rapidly interpret economic data releases and breaking news bulletins as they pertain to Credit Suisse's economic views
Forecast US economic data and policy and provide previews of upcoming economic releases and events
You will compose and contribute to long form economic reports focusing on specific aspects of the US economy
Present Credit Suisse's economic views to clients in meetings, over the phone, or via email, both proactively and reactively
Function as part of a global economics team servicing both International Wealth Management (IWM) and Global Markets (GM) clients and internal partners
Credit Suisse maintains a Working Flexibility Policy, subject to the terms as set forth in the Credit Suisse United States Employment Handbook.

You Offer

You have an undergraduate or graduate degree in economics (or similar)
You have 1-2 years' professional experience, preferably in financial services or economic analysis
You are proficient with MS Excel (required)
You have proficiency in Bloomberg, Haver, Thomson Reuters, R (desirable)
