Summary
The Economic Research Service offers a stimulating environment with 
great potential for growth.  ERS provides timely research and 
analysis to public and private decision makers on topics related to 
food, agriculture, the environment, and rural America.  ERS brings 
the perspective of economic analysis to critical issues facing 
farmers, agribusiness, consumers, and policymakers. In ERS, you will 
have opportunities to work independently and on teams on issues 
that matter.
 
An excellent opportunity for undergraduate/graduate students to gain valuable research experience and become familiar with ERS models and data sets.  These positions require individuals with a solid foundation in economic theory and strong quantitative skills; experience with data collection, econometric analysis, database management and/or mathematical programming; and good communications skills.  Interns participate in a wide variety of research.

Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • A student, as defined in the Qualifications & Evaluations section
  • In good academic standing in an accredited institution
