Twitter is looking for an exceptional data scientist to join our Revenue Forecasting & Analytics group. You will use statistical and econometric techniques to analyze data and answer complex questions related to advertisers, users, revenue, and our revenue products. You should be passionate about finding insights in data, working with large datasets, and driving practical business impact.

Responsibilities:

Analyze experiments and impacts of product launches
Use statistical and econometric techniques on large datasets to: 1) identify causal impacts on revenue, 2) examine patterns in advertiser and user behavior, 3) model and predict the performance of new and existing revenue products
Write and interpret complex SQL queries for standard as well as ad hoc data analysis purposes
Develop, analyze and monitor key metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and influence business partners for data-driven decision making
Synthesize data/analysis and communicate insights to executives, product managers, engineers
Collaborate and work closely with our Product, Engineering, Sales, and Analytics teams

Qualifications:

3+ years of work experience involving quantitative data analysis to solve problems
MS or PhD in Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
Expert with R/Stata/SAS/Matlab/Python, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functions and effectively influence senior business partners
Experience w Tableau a plus.
Experience with large datasets and map-reduce architectures like Hadoop a plus
