The Financial Planning Analyst will be a member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team for Europe. The team is experiencing higher than expected workloads due to overlapping projects and priority tasks, and a temporary resource will support the achievement of the team tasks.

The busiest time of the year is approaching with the quarterly reforecasting of the European Budget and the production of the FY15 budget. This position would be required for a minimum of 4 months to ensure that all deadlines and tasks are completed on time.

Job Responsibilities

- Undertake the analysis of budget expenditure and produce ad-hoc and structured, monthly, and quarterly reports as directed by the FP&A Manager or F&A Director.
- Responsible for financially reviewing budget approval/Purchase Order requests from assigned Budget Holders. The Analyst would ensure that all appropriate purchase requests, contract reviews and approvals are received according to defined policy and procedure.
- Support the quarterly reforecast and initial budget planning for FY15 of each assigned Budget Holder including the planning and detailed budgeting of Projects requiring HQ Finance and Project Management approval (typically >$100k activities and all CAPEX projects).
- Support the FP&A Manager in the detailed analysis of Europe Payroll records and the production of the quarterly reforecast, and FY15 payroll budget plan.
- Work as part of the Team for the planning and completion of the FY15 European Budget, complete assigned tasks to a high quality and according to assigned deadlines.

Required Skill Sets

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Excellent organizational skills with an entrepreneurial focus whilst still operating within established guidelines and procedures. Pro-active with strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve technical and business problems.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on quantitative analysis.
- Experience of Hyperion Planning software would be an advantage but training would be given.

Required Education and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or mathematics.
- 1 - 2 years' experience of working within a Finance organisation would be ideal. Would suit someone who would like to focus more on management accounting following qualification or someone who has recently graduated looking to gain experience.
