We have graduate opportunities in the following area:

Advisory – these teams originate, develop and execute corporate transactions and capital raising projects for global customers in most major industry sectors. Activities include mergers and acquisitions, divestures, joint ventures and financial restructurings.

You'll be part of a two-year program to help you understand the range of products and services within our international network and how we tailor these to provide bespoke client solutions. You'll also gain a thorough understanding of risk, which is vital to protecting the interests of our clients.

We'll provide the support, tools and opportunities for you to drive your own career development. As you progress through the program, you'll learn from specialized research analysts and economists, gaining a detailed insight into HSBC's strengths in the financial services industry. Your training will be carefully structured, with events and other opportunities to build your wider HSBC and banking knowledge. You'll have regular access to business leaders for coaching and advice, while constructive feedback will enable you to measure your performance. You'll be assigned a mentor and buddy, who can offer guidance and support.

The Banking Global Graduate Program is the beginning of an exciting, long-term international career. On completion of the program, you'll be hired into a challenging role in advisory and start progressing towards a senior role.

To be considered for the program, you will be a student or graduate who:

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will:
Bachelor's degree with graduation on or before June 2016
Have a minimum of a 3.2 cumulative GPA
Be available to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. relocate based upon placement opportunities
Have consistently achieved objectives set for you and taken action to improve your own performance
Have self-awareness with the confidence to work independently and take responsibility for your own development
Have worked collaboratively with other colleagues, supporting them when possible
In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will be proactive, forward-thinking, ready to challenge the status quo, with strong drive and determination, keen to learn and develop at all times, have a natural ability to build relationships with colleagues and a willingness to deliver on difficult assignments, possess an aptitude for understanding the underlying strategy which underpins the bank direction, be skilled at project management and have a keen interest in business development.
