Position Description
• Produce and internally present sovereign risk research and ratings recommendations for 50 major countries, covering both emerging and developed markets globally
• Provide timely global macroeconomic analysis, forecasts and research briefings on emergent economic, financial, and policy developments to support the full array of AIG business units.
• Help to develop AGE's team view about the global economy (focusing on countries other than the US)

Position Requirements
• Graduate degrees in Economics
• 3 years plus working experience as an economist/analyst in sell side or buy side financial firms, rating agencies or international institutions such as IMF/World Bank/IIF etc.
• A keen interest in global economic, market, and geopolitical developments;
• A strong knowledge base in working with economic database - including use of Haver and Bloomberg – and capacity to develop quantitative benchmark tools;
• Excellent written communication skills, the ability to critically analyze and distill large amounts of information into a concrete view
