Bangor Business School is a research-led business school located in picturesque north Wales in close proximity to the Snowdonia National Park and the island of Anglesey. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), the School was ranked as the top UK school in the Accounting and Finance unit of assessment.

The Business School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Economics. You will have a strong commitment to undertaking high quality research and will be able to contribute excellent teaching to our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You should hold, or be close to holding, a PhD in economics and have, or demonstrate the potential for, a track record of publications in refereed journals commensurate with 3 or 4 star rating in the Association of Business Schools journal quality list, or other equivalent high impact source. You will also have a track record of delivering high quality teaching in economics. An ability to demonstrate potential for research grant capture is considered essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence employment on 1 November 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Applications from candidates with specialisms in micro/applied econometrics or macroeconomics are especially welcomed, but well-qualified applicants in any economics discipline will be considered.
