Lecturer in Health Economics

The appointment will be full time on UCL Grade 8. The salary range will be £42,304 - £49,904 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Institute of Global Health (IGH) for a Lecturer post in Health Economics. The post holder will be responsible for an active and growing teaching and research portfolio. Particularly, the post holder will be expected to take a leadership role within UCL's new MSc in Health Economics and Decision Science, developing and delivering new course content. In addition, the post holder will be expected to build a strong research portfolio in the economics of global health. Close interaction with supportive colleagues at IGH and UCL more broadly, and access to partners and field sites in Kenya, Mozambique, India, Iran and Pakistan among others, will enable the post-holder to pursue a successful research programme leading to high-quality publications with excellent opportunities for future career development within the world-renowned global health community at UCL.

The candidate should have a PhD in the area of economics, health economics, public economics or development economics related to health systems/health policy or public health, and have a demonstrated capability to initiate and conduct leading-edge research. The post holder should also have experience teaching in economics and the determination to make a positive impact as part of a team.
