The Department of Management is in the middle of an exciting period of growth. Building on our successful strategy of high quality research and research-led teaching we will be growing existing areas of strength and creating new ones over the next three years. This expansion will include: a new variant of our undergraduate programmes, taking the form of a BSc International Business Management: the creation of a Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which will pave the way for a new MSc in Entrepreneurship and Technology; the launch of new MSc programmes in the broad area of finance, including Banking & Finance; the expansion of our economics group; and the creation of executive management education in the professions in which King's has major strengths, particularly healthcare.

The Department seeks to recruit a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Applied Economics with a specialism in any area of economics to add significantly to the Department's teaching and research capacity. It seeks applicants who hold a Ph.D. in economics and have a publication record that includes peer reviewed articles published in leading economics journals, with a 3 or 4 star rating as defined by the REF. For the Senior Lecturer post the Department is looking for a distinguished scholar who already has an outstanding international profile in the field of Economics. The successful candidate will be expected to strengthen the Management Department's research capacity in Economics and to demonstrate interests that complement or extend those of the existing faculty. The post-holder will be expected to make a major contribution to teaching on the Department's Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching programmes. The ability to teach introductory econometrics will be an advantage. Applicants for a Senior Lecturer post must have experience in supervising doctoral research students. Finally, the person sought must have a proven ability to initiate and/or lead research projects, together with a commitment to launch new ones, with a record of attracting research grant income being desirable. The person appointed will be expected to carry his/her share of administrative duties within the Department.

The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications and experience, within the Grade 7/8 scale, currently £39,685 to £56,482 per annum, plus £2,323 London Allowance per annum.
