The Economics Division is seeking to recruit an outstanding Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Economics, with a focus on applied microeconomics in particular in areas such as health, education aging and population economics. This post is offered at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level, dependent on the candidate appointed.

Description of Duties

The successful candidate will join the Stirling Management School faculty as a lecturer (or senior lecturer, depending on qualifications) in Economics. The main duties associated with this post are as follows:

Contributing to the research outputs of the Division, and in particular taking a senior role in the research undertaken in the area of applied microeconomics.
Applying for and winning research funding.
Providing teaching inputs in the Division's undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Contributing to the successful operation and growth of the Division and School.
As this is a research intensive contract, the candidate will develop their own research both individually and in collaboration with colleagues inside and outside the research centre.
Carrying out research consistent with publication in high quality international journals.

Salary:

Grade 8 £38,511 to £45,954
Grade 9 £47,328 to £54,841

Interviews are expected to take place week commencing the 8 December 2014.
