Job Description:
A UAE government ministry located in the capital city Abu Dhabi is looking for a Macro Economist. The main responsibilities of the macro economist will be:
-Building and maintaining reliable macro econometric models that aid in forecasting and scenario analysis of the UAE macro economy.
-Evaluating UAE economic and social policy projects and predict their impacts using macro econometric models.
-Preparing regular periodical and ad hoc macroeconomic reports .
-Training of ministry staff working on macro models.

Requirements:
-Five years at least working in an Economist role that necessitated quantitative and qualitative research capabilities.
-Knowledge in Econometrics including practical software experience in EViews.
-Strong background in using VAR, ECM, and other relevant econometric techniques required during the process of building macroeconomic models.
-A comprehensive experience with macroeconomic analysis and multi-equation modeling.
-Dedication, punctuality, and readiness for teamwork.
-Exposure to UAE or Arabian Gulf Cooperation Council states economies is preferred.
-Fluency in English. Knowledge and writing capabilities in Arabic is preferred.
-A Master's or PhD degree in Economics, Finance, Business or Statistics.
