Frontier Economics
London - United Kingdom
S: Highly competitive

Frontier Economics is an economics consultancy that tackles the big questions facing governments, businesses and society. We help our clients to analyse and understand their markets and to formulate strategies based on sound economics. The methods and models we use are often complex, but our advice is always succinct, clear and honest.

We are recruiting Managers to join our Competition practice. Our Competition team works closely with clients and legal counsel, providing a mix of strategic advice and technical support. We assist in pre-empting issues, in producing and responding to technical analysis, in preparing client submissions and expert reports and in giving oral evidence. The latest examples of our work can be found here.

We are looking for talented team players, with specialised skills and valuable expertise, who have a desire to advance their career. As an experienced hire, your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the quality of analytical outputs within pre-determined project tasks.
• Managing projects spanning a range of sectors/issues/clients.
• Applying best practice project management principles throughout a project.
• Leading project initiation with clients, communicating team roles clearly and ensuring clients understand and agree our brief and deliverables.
• Overseeing the quality and sound financial management of projects.
• Providing clear guidance to team members on all aspects of the project including required outputs.
• Delivering outputs in an appropriate format: outputs that are well written, persuasive, fit for use, and timely.
• Maintaining close relationships with existing clients in the course of project work and beyond.
• Delivering Frontier-wide activities e.g. speaking at seminars and conferences, running roadshows, client events, developing marketing materials, writing bulletins.
• Providing timely 360 degree feedback on work undertaken across project, remit or practice work, feedback in a clear and transparent way.
• Providing support and guidance to colleagues.
• Pro-actively identifying things that would make Frontier better.

In addition to stimulating and thought-provoking project work, we offer numerous benefits to support you inside and outside of work. All employees have access to numerous Learning & Development opportunities including ongoing Career Development Reviews with the support of an allocated Mentor.

We understand the importance of work/life balance and offer flexible working arrangements including working from home. In addition we provide 28 days annual leave with the option to purchase an additional 10.

Frontier is entirely owned by its employees. As Shareholders, we encourage everyone to put forward their views. Not only do we influence how the company is run but we choose to distribute as much of our profits as is prudently possible through bonuses. In addition we offer a highly rewarding salary.

If you would like to become part of our team, we are interested in meeting candidates who can demonstrate:

- Intellectual leadership: Experienced economists who can deliver rigorous insight and analysis, effectively utilising the resources available within the firm, including themselves, colleagues and external resources..

- Consulting skills: Managers who can deliver high quality, insightful and timely advice to clients, taking full account of their requirements; including strong project management skills to adapt as projects progress, plus strong communication and client handling skills

- Client relationships: Open individuals who can develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and collaborators, and potential clients.

- Internal leadership: A strong communicator who can ensure sound financial management of projects and development work. As senior members of the firm, Managers own all of the firm's policies and processes and must be able to communicate these clearly to all members of staff.

- Contribution to Frontier values: A genuine interest in identifying and developing opportunities to make Frontier a better place to work.

If you would like to apply, you will need to submit an online application via our Careers page. We are currently accepting applications to our Brussels, Cologne, London and Paris offices. Please be mindful that for applications to Cologne or Paris, you must be fluent in the language of the country you are applying for.
