At Deloitte, we recognise the investment you have made in developing your skills through your education and subsequent success as an economist. We are looking for economists with strong professional experience to support the continuing development of our Economic Consulting team.

Economic Consulting sits within our Financial Advisory business and is made up of approximately 75 postgraduate economists applying their skills to our client's real business issues. The work is varied and delivers real value through economic / public policy analysis, competition and disputes, and the application of economics to strategic issues. Our technical skills in these areas are combined with Deloitte's deep financial and industry understanding to create a potent, and unique, package that can be applied across the economy.

Whilst we welcome applications from talented professional Economists whatever their area of specialisation, we are currently particularly interested in candidates with skills and experience in finance, telecommunications or competition policy.

Responsibilities

The role will include the following:

Managing teams working on client engagements
Helping develop the strategy and thinking in client engagements
Business development
Contributing to thought leadership
Project management

Requirements

To qualify, you will be able to demonstrate:

A postgraduate degree in Economics from a leading university allied to a 1st, or a strong 2:1, in your undergraduate degree in Economics or other related subject
Demonstration of strong economic, quantitative and presentation skills as a professional Economist
Demonstrable understanding of your industry of specialisation allowing the ability to interact with senior people from major corporate or public sector clients
A strong track record in project management
Evidence of, or an aptitude for, business development
Talent management skills
