Job Description
This role will analyze a variety of behavioral and transactional data in order to optimize loyalty program performance and develop insights which enhance the understanding overall business performance. This role will also oversee analytics of CRM data and third party purchase data, manage our shopper segmentation, evaluate/optimize campaign performance, and leverage scan/panel resources through our Nielsen partnership.
In addition to keen data and analytics skills, the ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of business and marketing and will be able to effectively translate data into actionable analytical insights which drive business decisions. The ability to use data and analytics to tell a persuasive story is key.
Responsibilities
The following duties are essential in successful execution of the position:
Analyze and synthesize various data sources to explain drivers of business performance and inform both tactical and strategic business decisions.
Conduct exploratory data analysis, identify test & learn opportunities, and implement performance measurement reporting and analysis.
Support/Analysis of consumer segmentation.
Leverage analytic capabilities available through third party vendors.
Work closely with a group of cross-functional stakeholders, translating business questions into analyses that inform business decisions.
Develop and manage analytic reporting tools to assess loyalty program performance on both an ongoing and ad hoc basis.
Translate data into clear, persuasive reports and presentations for senior leadership.
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, or related quantitative discipline preferred.
3-5 years professional experience in Analytics, Marketing, Business Analysis, Loyalty program analytics or related fields.
Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, SAS, Teradata, or Nielsen data
Experience in designing/analyzing controlled experiments (test/control, pre/post)
Experience with developing and activating against a consumer segmentation
Experience with brick and mortar retail is a plus.
Exceptional analytic skills coupled with solid business thinking.
Self-directed, innovative thinker. In addition to a strong attention to detail, strong candidates will also be able to see the strategic implications for the business in the big picture. You are fluent in telling the story to both technical and non-technical audiences.
