Forecast, analyze, and document economic conditions affecting industry and/or business groups of an organization. Perform complex modeling including statistics, decision trees, econometrics, and calculations. Extract data from literature and primary sources to prepare and present to management. Use skills of an independent, seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and established policies and procedures. Actively mentor less experienced team members. Develop and influence enterprise wide strategic initiatives and may represent CoreLogic externally through speaking and industry engagements. Has the ability to represent CoreLogic in a thought leadership capacity.

Job Duties

Assemble and review data. Identify problems, anticipate effects across business communities, research best practice alternatives, prepare presentations, drive solutions, test to confirm, gain consensus from a broad business community, and implement customized solutions.
Conduct complex statistical analyses and complete studies of real estate and mortgage related data.
Prepare and maintain programs and documentation for asset and asset risk models.
Champion and drive the monitoring and re-engineering current models and their prototypes as needed, to improve and enhance core models and group research objectives.
Conceive, lead and manage quantitative and qualitative research projects independently.
Assess and communicate research results to internal and external stakeholders.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Master's degree in an Analytics field such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Computer Science, or PhD strongly preferred
Eight years of directly related experience
Detail oriented; strong presentation skills
Able to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
Communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
Expert PC and UNIX/LINUX skills
Strong understanding of relational database principles and experience developing SQL scripts
Strong skills with statistical software such as R or SAS as well as a general-purpose computer programming language such as Java, Python, or Scala
