Within ESD, our Labor Market and Economic Analysis team provides businesses and customers with the labor market information they need to succeed in a changing economy. As The Labor Market and Economic Analysis Branch of ESD supports the agency mission and the employment process by providing businesses, individuals and other customers with the labor market information they need to succeed in a changing economy.

Our Program Evaluation Specialist position contributes to the achievement of the organization's mission by conducting comprehensive evaluations, delivering of products and services at the local and state level, providing technical support to clients, and operating as the informational and communications link between the department, the customers, and the general public.

As the Program Evaluation Specialist, you will direct evaluations of policy and programs that were revised or newly implemented in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, economic downturn, federal policies, and labor market changes. You will perform scientific research to assess the delivery of benefits and services of ESD, and design and manage statistical and data analysis or analytical projects. Using statistical software programming languages (for example, Python and R), mathematical models, descriptive and advanced inferential statistical techniques, and economics theory, you will analyze data and interpret results to produce estimates or projections or identify economic or employment trends.

This is a non-permanent position with an expected end date of 6/30/2021.
